This week’s Bite is simple: stop starting from scratch.

Let me guess: you’ve had this moment.

You’re staring at your AI assistant, typing yet again:

“Write a professional follow-up email…”

And you think: Didn’t I already do this last week?

Me, typing the same prompt into ChatGPT for the 10th time this week.

Yep. You did. But because that great prompt is buried three scrolls deep in an old chat, you’re stuck reinventing the wheel.

That’s where a prompt library comes in. Not a fancy app. Not another subscription. Just a simple system to keep the prompts that actually work so you can use them again and again.

Here’s what’s inside this issue:

  • The #1 foundation prompt (Step Zero) to train AI on your business

  • Two practical examples you can save today

  • A simple 4-step method for building your own prompt library

  • The AI Prompt Library Starter Pack (free bonus resource)

Step Zero: Your Foundation Prompt

Before you save anything, give AI context about your business. Otherwise, it’s like asking a stranger to write in your voice.

Prompt:

“You are my business assistant. First, ask me 5–7 targeted questions to capture the essentials of my business, including:
– What I offer and the problems I solve
– What makes me unique and different from competitors
– The types of clients I serve most often
– The tone and style I want in communication
– Any phrases or words I do/don’t use
– My core values or approach to service

Once I answer, create a concise Business Profile Summary (200–300 words).

Important: Please ask me any clarifying questions that will help you create a stronger, more accurate summary.”

👉 Save your Business Profile Summary and paste it in before any other prompt — it makes AI sound much more like you.

Two Prompts to Get You Started

Here’s a taste of what belongs in your library:

1. Blog Draft Prompt
“You are in the top 1% of blog writers globally. Write a blog post on [topic] for [audience]. Ensure it is SEO optimized for discoverability, structured with an engaging hook and clear subheads, and concludes with a call to action.
Please ask clarifying questions that will help you create a stronger, more accurate summary.

2. Instagram Post + Captions Prompt
“You are a world-class Instagram strategist. Using my [blog draft content below], create 3 Instagram post options with captions that:
– Start with a compelling hook
– Distill 1–2 key takeaways
– End with a soft call to action
– Include 5–7 relevant hashtags

For each post, also provide direction for the visual image.
Please ask clarifying questions that will help you create a stronger, more accurate summary.”

💡 Behind the Scenes: I don’t just teach this — I use it. Each week, I start with a blog draft prompt to shape my newsletter content. Then I take that blog draft and feed it into the Instagram post + captions prompt and a similar YouTube script prompt.

One strong draft becomes the input for multiple prompts, which means I can create content across platforms without starting over. That’s the power of a library: building a repeatable system.

How to Build Your Prompt Library (in 4 Steps)

  1. Choose your tool — Docs, Notes, or a spreadsheet. Pick what you’ll actually use.

  2. Pick your categories — Start with: Emails, Content, Customer Service, Meeting Follow-Up, Marketing Copy.

  3. Save the winners — Short title + full prompt + notes on when/how to use.
Tip: You’ll also want to iterate and refine saved prompts so they truly sound like you.

  4. Test and refine — Run it, tweak it, update it. Your library will evolve with your biz.
